Ski slopes

Traverse snowy trails, breathe the mountain air, and enjoy breathtaking views.

In Świeradów-Zdrój, you’ll find a variety of routes for skiers and snowboarders. The run from Stóg Izerski is the main ski trail in Świeradów-Zdrój, featuring the most modern gondola lift in Poland. The trail is well prepared and offers varying levels of difficulty, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. For those taking their first steps on skis, there are shorter lifts that are also professionally maintained.

And let’s not forget cross-country skiing! Due to the long-lasting snow cover around Świeradów-Zdrój and Jakuszyce, the Izera Mountains boast the best network of cross-country ski trails in Poland. Over 100 kilometers of trails of varying difficulty are available.

Cycling trails

Świeradów-Zdrój and the Izera Mountains are known as the Bike Land, or even a Biker’s Paradise! Here, every two-wheel enthusiast will find something for themselves. A big hit in recent seasons has been the single-track bike trails, created by the Welsh trail designer Dafydd Davis. These well-prepared and shaped trails total 80 kilometers and run through picturesque areas on both the Polish and Czech sides of the Izera Mountains.

The Single Track trails are divided into four levels of difficulty. The easiest loop is two-way, while the more challenging trails are one-way only. Families with children have a great, safe place for group outings. More ambitious cyclists have the chance to experience an adrenaline rush.

The Izera Mountains also offer cycling opportunities in the higher mountain areas, up to 1100 meters above sea level. A network of well-maintained gravel and asphalt roads and paths allows you to explore this part of the Sudetes thoroughly.

A big convenience is the possibility to take your bike on the gondola lift to Stóg Izerski and start your ride from the summit.

The Spa House with the Promenade Hall

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the beauty of bygone eras through the unique architecture of the Spa House. More than just a historic building, it stands as a proud testament to the town’s rich heritage and its rise as a renowned spa destination.

Erected in 1899 on the foundations of the earlier Spring House, which was destroyed by fire four years prior, this charming and richly decorated structure retains its original style, evoking the spirit of past centuries. Inside, visitors can explore a mineral water drinking hall offering radon-iron waters, and marvel at the longest Promenade Hall in Lower Silesia, stretching an impressive 80 meters.

Constructed from larch wood and adorned with elegant botanical polychromes, stained glass windows, and the von Schaffgotsch family crest, the hall is a true architectural treasure. Its setting amidst picturesque hills and ancient trees enhances its timeless charm, making it a must-see attraction in Świeradów-Zdrój.

Nestled on the southeastern slopes of Stóg Izerski, the Spa House stands as a proud symbol of the town’s heritage - beautifully preserved and lovingly maintained with respect for its historical significance.

The spa promenade extends through the heart of the town, forming a scenic 1.5-kilometer-long walking route. As a pedestrian zone, it offers visitors a peaceful and comfortable experience, with vehicle traffic limited to preserve its charm and tranquillity.

Decorated with charming bas-reliefs featuring the frog - the symbol of Świeradów-Zdrój - along the sidewalks, the promenade is dotted with numerous fountains that draw from the town’s renowned healing spa waters, celebrated for their medicinal properties.

More than just a scenic walkway, the spa promenade serves as the vibrant center of the town’s social and cultural life. Here, visitors can enjoy relaxing strolls while soaking in the unique atmosphere of a spa resort. Izera Dark Sky Park

The Izera Dark Sky Park was established in 2009 as the first of its kind in Poland and the world’s first transboundary dark sky park. It is a unique place created to promote knowledge about astronomy, protect the night sky, and provide environmental education.

This area minimizes artificial light pollution to ensure the best possible conditions for observing the night sky. Visibility here is 40 times greater compared to urban areas, allowing you to admire thousands of stars, planets, nebulae, and other celestial objects.

Specially organized events, such as night sky observations, outdoor lectures, workshops, and demonstrations, enable participants to explore the mysteries of the Universe and learn fascinating aspects of astronomy.
